“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
Quote by Edgar Degas
My name is Michelle Bergeron and I am a traditional artist. The majority of my works are done with a black, ballpoint pen. Although the most of my work is in black and white, I may often times do a second version of it in color. Many of my illustrations are colored and even stained with tea or coffee at times. As I try to experiment with different techniques, such as with different textures, coloring, depth, and shading, I usually use the final outcome as the final piece.
I really do appreciate all of those who comment and/or view my work. Having said this, I would much rather my work to be commented on rather than just a favorite. Although having illustrations favored is quite nice, I would much rather you leave feedback and give me possible pointers and reasons as to why you liked the work. This would be much appreciated.
I am a fan of foreign films, silent films, and German Expressionism. My style, I do dearly hope, may be related to these such things, for they are of great inspiration. All my life, I have grown up with the influence of films and novels all around me. From different cultures and different eras.
Anyhow, thank you for those of you who have taken the time to read this. With my time dedicated precisely towards my artwork, this gives me the chance to improve on my neatness, detailed work, patience as well, and a chance to appreciate other cultures of art.
